When your fire gets bright you are radiant and bring light to the life of others.
The Vedas, the ancient teachings from which yoga came, speak of the fire that resides in each of us and compel us to be that fire. We are born a Divine spark but through life we lose our shining. Yoga brings us back to that shining.
Igniting kundalini is the goal of all yoga. Doing it wisely is our goal. Beyond Asana, Igniting our Fire provides yoga practitioners and teachers with additional tools and knowledge to assist students in their pursuits. The focus is on awakening the dormant force that rests in each of us. The yoga tradition teaches that it rests at the base of the spine. When this force called Shakit-kundalini is awakened, we begin to shine. Our inner fire literally burns away those aspects of ourselves that keep us stuck and unhappy.
Shakti-Kundalini is the force behind all of nature. It is the energy of creation that resides in each of us. The awakening of this force results in our capacity to see beyond limitations; to become whole.
Beyond Asana, Igniting our Fire explores more of the subtle aspects of yoga, the lunar and solar sciences, integrating them in such a way that shakti-kundalini is no longer simply a concept but an abiding presence.
