The purpose of yoga, regardless of the style, is to build clarity, calmness, balance, alertness, confidence, and ease. Cultivating this sattvic state is how we move to a more integrated Self. Learn intelligent sequencing to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of practice, including poses, breath, meditation and other techniques.

Our 200 hour certification programs essentially teach us how to instruct yoga poses and put together basic classes. Some styles of yoga have set sequences from which you do not deviate. Becoming a yoga teacher involves moving beyond this instructor approach to yoga, taking your knowledge of the tradition to a deeper level.

Wise Progression: Methodology for Power is your next step in becoming a yoga teacher. We focus on how to sequence classes for safety, ease and heightened energetic experience. We all have different personal challenges – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. We all have unique dosha combinations that need to be understood and respected. When imbalances present themselves we need to know what to do and how to counsel others.

How do we build practices that address these differences? A yoga teacher knows. If your only tool is asana, you are missing the boat. The yoga toolkit is a comprehensive one; it takes years to master these techniques and even more time to teach them well. Yoga is not a quick-fix, although we feel its effects immediately. Teach for long term health. Teach safely and intelligently. Master the techniques in your personal practice and take this knowledge and intelligence to the classroom or individuals. If you don’t have a personal practice involving more than asana, cultivate one. Yoga teachers live yoga not simply instruct classes.

Wise Progression: Methodology for Power teaches us that moving energy intelligently builds clarity, calmness, balance, alertness, confidence, and ease. Cultivating this sattvic state is how we become more integrated. You will learn to teach these principles. This course will expand your yoga toolkit, expand your teaching abilities and make you an excellent teacher.
